Dødens Praktikant (Death's Intern)

In 14th-century Norway, ravaged by plague and disease, being Death is far from easy. There is a lot of work to be done. How does Death handle his new, eager intern, Konrad?

‘Dødens Praktikant’ is The Branch's first original short film. The idea came about while we were working on a client project, when a funny sketch sparked a new idea. We drew inspiration from a range of series and films we grew up with, whose bloody but slapstick style influenced us throughout the production. The film was supported by the Mid-Norway Film Centre (Midtnorsk Filmsenter) and Fond for lyd og bilde, and premiered at the Norwegian Short Film Festival in Grimstad in 2024.
